HISTORY OVERVIEW
Dream International Schools (DIS) was founded in the year (2013) under license No. (4350140105). DIS provides an outstanding academic education specially designed for expatriates in Saudi Arabia. We aim to provide our students a long lasting and satisfying learning experience by challenging them to reach their highest potential through our strong curriculum and activities. The recent Schools campus is located in Nozha area, the heart of the city. The Schools was started with the strength of (65) students up to (Grade 3) with total of (10) staff members. The original Schools campus was in one building with 12 classrooms. In (2014) the Schools had expanded its facilities and relocated the preparatory Girl’s section in a different campus very close to kindergarten, primary and Preparatory girl’s section. Both Schools campuses have, total of (26) classrooms, one computer lab, one science lab, library, media center, and (3) playgrounds. Now we are a community of approximately (500) students with an average of (22) students per class with around (80) staff members imparting education up to high Schools level.

The Schools is committed to provide quality education to students irrespective of caste, creed and nationality. The Schools accepts all those students who wish to obtain modern education based on technology. Dream International Schools (DIS) is committed to excellence in providing an educational program based on American curriculum. In addition to classes in English, mathematics, social studies, Arabic and science we also offer courses in art, computer, French, and physical education. There are three divisions: elementary Schools (Pre-Kindergarten, 2, 3), Primary Schools (Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), and Preparatory Schools (Grades 7, 8, 9). The curriculum prepares students for post-secondary education or employment, while reflecting an international perspective. The teaching style, curriculum, and Schools calendar are compatible with the American educational system. English is the language of instruction in the Schools. By using technology as a tool, teachers, administrators, and support staff are more efficient and effective in facilitating and managing the learning environment and fostering lifelong learning. Curriculum
Dream International Schools (DIS) offers a fresh new approach to education that redefines traditional boundaries and combines quality uncompromising, a kaleidoscope of specialized expertise and high quality service. DIS offers an enriched American curriculum with an international perspective for students in pre-Schools through grade 11. The curriculum is closely based on the Californian Standards of Education. The core program emphasizes English and Arabic reading and the language art, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. In addition to the core subject areas, DIS offers instructions in Art, Physical Education, French and Computer Technology. Islamic Studies classes are also included in the syllabus. The KG program emphasizes social skills, sensory and motor development, Language Arts, Science and Mathematics. Instructional methods at DIS focus on the idea that not all students start at the same level, learn in the same way, or master skills at the same pace. Flexible grouping is be used to address the needs of all students, and to challenge them to stretch their abilities and master new skills. Instructional objectives are clearly defined in all subject areas, but academic expectations are flexible enough to both support and challenge each individual learner. Instruction in all areas encourages students to grow as creative worker, critical thinkers, and effective communicators. Technology, with Internet access in computer labs and libraries, is integrated throughout our program. The curriculum is designed to help children to broaden their base of information, form concepts, acquire foundation skills and positive attitudes to learning and begin to develop their abilities and talents in a wide range of areas. Learning expectations include the child’s development of literacy, knowledge and skills in Mathematics and Science.
